Answer: My Journey to Shimla
Last winter, I went to Shimla with my parents during my school holidays. We travelled by train and enjoyed watching the tall trees and snow-covered mountains. The purpose of our travel was to see the snow and relax together. I liked the cold weather, the clean air, and the beautiful view from our hotel. I also loved eating hot momos and maggi in the chilly weather. However, I disliked the long traffic jams on the narrow roads. We visited the Mall Road and Christ Church. It was one of my most memorable trips.

| Type of Boat | Purpose / Use | Characteristics / Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Rowboat | Leisure, small travel | Propelled by oars, small size |
| Canoe / Kayak | Rivers, lakes, adventure | Narrow, light, often paddled |

B. Class Activity — Two Groups Discussion
- Group 1 (Human-made things): ships, bridges, roads, buildings, dams, satellites
They can talk about how they are built, their uses, materials, how they solve human problems, and their limitations. - Group 2 (Natural things): clouds, rainbows, rivers, mountains, forests, auroras
They can discuss how they form, beauty, function in nature, their changes over seasons, why they are important.
After discussion, both groups share and compare — which are more durable, which change faster, which are more beautiful, etc.
Did You Know?
- Isaac Newton created a spinning disc painted with the seven colours of the rainbow to show that white light is made of many colours.
- When the disc spins very fast, your eyes see white instead of individual colours. (This demonstrates how colours combine in light.)
